SERVICES EVERY SUNDAY
South Hills is a local church in the South San Diego area. We are a warm and welcoming place where you can belong and become all that God has created you to be regardless of your story. That is our heart as a local church and we would love for you to come and see for yourself. We meet every Sunday at 9AM + 10:45A and look forward to connecting with you soon!
Christmas is supposed to be the best time of year. We place such enormous expectations on the Holiday season to fill our lives with the hope, peace, joy, and love we’re longing for. But, what if things don’t go according to plan, and you’re not where you want to be, and people don’t do what you want them to do, and you don’t get what you asked for? These are the questions the Christmas story confronts. Jesus’ birth radically reframed for humanity where hope, peace, joy, and love truly come from and how we go about experiencing them. What if Christmas isn’t what you thought it was, what if it’s something so much bigger and better?
Mike serves as the pastor for the South Hills San Diego campus and is a husband to Krosby, a father to McKynlee Grace, and a one-time intramural basketball champion. He loves the local church, studying scripture, a cup of coffee, fitness and good snacks (which aren’t always compatible).
"Our church is more like a family. People here make an effort to get to know each other. There is something for everyone at our church."
"Upon arriving at South Hills we immediately felt the love and warmth of a family followed by solid teaching that challenges believers. Even more important for us is that our kids love Kid Nation and look forward to going each week. South Hills is place all will feel welcome and grow in their relationship with God."
"I love that we always feel welcome when we walk in the door, and how powerful the messages are and how real they are and how we can apply what the pastor says into our everyday life. It’s really helped us A LOT. We also love that we feel safe leaving our daughters in the nursery. Our family loves the church and everyone there."
