Welcome to the Family Activity page from South Hills Church in Burbank. We want to provide you with some activities for your family to do this summer. Since life is a little strange right now, it’s so important to take time to have fun together and laugh with each other.
If you don’t have a church home, we invite you to check out South Hills. Have fun!
Instructions: You will have one minute to stack as many beads as you can onto the popsicle stick provided. Sounds easy, right?… Here’s the catch…you must place the popsicle stick in your mouth and stack them without any falling. If any of the beads fall, you are automatically out of the game! Whoever can stack the most beads onto the popsicle stick, wins!
Supplies: Beads, popsicle stick
Instructions: Arrange the spoons in a small circle in the center of the table and deal four cards to each player. Each player tries to make four of a kind. The dealer takes a card off the top of the deck to have five cards in his hand, removes one and passes it facedown to the left. Each player discards to the person on his left.
Supplies: Spoons and a deck of cards
Instructions: You will have one minute to sort as many beads into cups by color in one minute only using chopsticks.
Supplies: 4 different color beads, 4 cups for sorting and chop sticks
CUP STACK CHALLENGE
Instructions: Using the supplies listed above only you will attempt to build a tower as tall as you can without touching the cups with any of your body parts! You can only use the supplies given. I promise this is possible just takes a bit of teamwork. (minimum of 3 players)
Supplies: A rubber band, 15 cups and twine
