WELCOME TO SOUTH HILLS SOUTH COUNTY
Why do we want to plant a campus in South Orange County From the outside, it appears the people of South Orange County have it all. Beaches, little league games, parks, and shopping. However, it’s been our experience living and serving in the community over the past 15 years that there’s also pain, a thirst for something real, and a desire for true community. We look forward to being apart of a church family that will be just that…a family, growing closer to Jesus, and each other.

Behind every surface behavior is the desire to meet a deeper need. Having needs isn’t weak or wrong, it’s human. But how you go about getting them met determines what kind of human you’ll be. Strangely, we all seem to self-sabotage in exactly the same ways, almost as if it’s encoded in our DNA. History has nicknamed these tendencies the “seven deadly sins”. Where do they come from? Why are we all so susceptible? And what can we do about it?
CAMPUS PASTOR: JAMES VALENCIA
James Valencia’s passion is to facilitate authentic relationships within a church family. James and his wife Melanie have been married 14 years, and have spent their entire marriage, ministering, building relationships, and loving their community in South Orange County. It has been their dream to launch South Hill’s first campus in the community they love. They have twin daughters Piper and Phoebe (6), and cherish their family time together. If they aren’t at the beach, you can find them at their other favorite place, Disneyland.
"What I love about South Hills is that you can be yourself. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else, or like you have to have it all together."
"We just moved here so we were new to the area and new to the community. Finding good true friendships and real relationships was hard, and this has just been a place for us to call home."
"I was looking for a sense of community, and since coming to South Hills I have this great sense of friendship. I truly feel like I belong here."
