SERVICES EVERY SUNDAY
South Hills is a new church in the Costa Mesa/Newport area. We believe that church should be a place where everyone is welcome and anyone can belong – regardless of race, class, or creed. We try our best to create that environment at South Hills, and we would love for you to come and see for yourself. We meet Sunday mornings at Ensign Intermediate School at 10am.
Since the dawn of man, humans have organized themselves in tribes—groups bound by common passions, purposes and pursuits. We all have a deep-rooted desire to find our people, and our place among them. Throughout Scripture, God calls His followers to be a tribe unlike any other—one with a decidedly outward, not inward focus. In this series, we’ll explore why this is & how to live it out in our corner of the world at this moment in history.
Chris Kretzu’s dream is to help the church become a more authentic place. After living in Costa Mesa for the last 5 years, he and his wife felt it was time to help make that dream a reality in the community they had fallen in love with, and launched South Hills Costa Mesa. Chris loves cooking, movies, and good hip-hop. Chris and Es have been married for nine years and have two boys, Mason (6) and Arlo (2).
"What I love about South Hills is that you can be yourself. You don’t have to pretend to be someone else, or like you have to have it all together."
"We just moved here so we were new to the area and new to the community. Finding good true friendships and real relationships was hard, and this has just been a place for us to call home."
"I was looking for a sense of community, and since coming to South Hills I have this great sense of friendship. I truly feel like I belong here."
