POSITION OVERVIEW: We are looking for a highly relational leader that has a passion and to care-for and support kids from 6 months thru kindergarten, helping them understand God’s love and resourcing their parents along the way. This leader must be a self-starter, growth oriented and strong team player. This leader must be able to engage and foster meaningful connections with kids and parents. This leader must be able to recruit volunteers, develop leaders, and equip their team to care for the children at South Hills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience recruiting, working with, and leading volunteers.
TIME COMMITMENT/JOB TYPE: 20 Hours Per Week: Part-Time hourly, hybrid remote model
OTHER TIME REQUIREMENTS: Sunday mornings, occasional mid-week and nights as necessary
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- South Hills Kids (90%)
- Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of South Hills Kids in Nursery and Pre-K Enviornments.
- Recruit, train, lead, and retain a volunteer base for each area of the ministry.
- Budget: Maintain the ministry budget throughout the year.
- Childcare: Ensure childcare is in place for classes, trainings and events as needed.
- Communicate with leaders and parents on a regular basis (via social media, emails, texts, etc.)
- Child Dedication: Promote, plan and execute child dedications alongside of Campus Pastor.
- Baptisms: Work with Campus Pastor to develop a plan for preparing baptisms for kids.
- Events: Plan and execute events for South Hills Kids throughout the year.
- Curriculum: Ensure all aspects of curriculum are ready each Sunday in Nursery and Pre-K Environments.
- Facility: Ensure facility is safe and clean for ministry on a weekly basis.
- South Hills Staff (10%)
- Meeting with Campus Pastor to align and execute ministry priorities, goals, and strategies.
- Staff Meetings, Outings, & Strategic Planning
- All Church Events
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Has 2+ years experience working with kids age 6months-Kindergarten.
- Must know how to develop and execute strategies to reach stated goals.
- Have experience recruiting, leading, and developing volunteers.

This leader must be able to engage and foster meaningful connections with students and parents. This leader must build and equip a strong team of volunteers and leaders to promote relational development and discipleship with students. Primary responsibilities for the Youth Director exist on Wednesdays at South Hills Students services, but active engagement with students and parents is expected on Sundays as well
This leader must have a heart to reach out and impact our community and must be able to create activities and experiences that balance growth for believers with comfortable inclusion of unbelievers. South Hills is, first and foremost, a “church for the unchurched,” which puts our organization in the unique position of finding ways to radically welcome and accommodate first time guests while also building a church community in which those who have been following Jesus for long periods of time can still actively grow.
A leader whose skills, expertise, and personal calling equips them to work specifically with students (6th-12th Grade). The Youth Director is supported and held accountable by the Family Pastor at South Hills Corona and works ultimately in service to our church and community.

Recruiting and developing student growth group leaders

Creating or adapting curriculum (i.e. Orange Students) relevant and theologically sound content for students (in accordance with the overall vision of South Hills)

Promote a healthy & consistent connection of students to the weekend experience

Providinga Pastoral and Enthusiastic Presence at our Weekend Services by:

Meeting with parents and guardians on the plaza to answer questions and generate excitement about South Hills Students

Foster relationships with students and help enrich their Sunday experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORSHIP LEADER (80%)
WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate your worship team in preparation for weekend services
- Schedule songs in PCO
- Prepare and arrange loops/tracks for the weekend
- Connect with Campus Pastor regarding the weekend flow/goals/topics
- Lead band rehearsals/prep
MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule band via PCO
- Work on Creative Elements for Weekend Services
- Continue to look forward in music trends and select songs accordingly
- Track & be responsible to stay within allotted worship budget
- Spiritually lead and develop your team beyond the stage and weekend
YEARLY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate worship/band for special events when needed
- Developing volunteer musicians, singers, and worship leaders
- Begin to replace yourself and allow others to lead more
- Foster “next level” relationships with your team, value them throughout the year
STAFF TEAM MEMBER (20%)

Position Overview: To direct and lead a team of staff who are passionate about early childhood education & creating unforgettable experiences for children and families in a Christ centered environment.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Staff management and development
- Maintain and keep child files updated
- Ensure that children files adhere to Title 22 regulations
- Initiate and implement school calendar of activities
- Interact positively with parents and teachers daily
- Participate in parent education meetings and workshops
- Hold tours for prospective families
- Perform record keeping duties for children schedules, and tuition fees
- Supervise parents in completing daily records of their child’s attendance and absences
- Attend meetings as assigned by Director including but not limited to staff/parent meetings, meetings with professional consultants
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of office supplies and place orders in advance when supplies are needed
- Participate in planning and direction of teacher workshops
- Continue professional development, staying current with new information, best practices in the Early Childhood Care and Education field, and all standards for the Assistant Director position as mandated by Title 22 regulations
- Support teachers in curriculum development
- Serve as a teacher in any classroom when necessary

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Bachelors’ Degree (preferred)
- At least 24 units in Early Childhood Education (required)
- Administration units in Early Childhood Education (required)
- Minimum five years relevant experience (required)
- CPR First Aid Certified (required)
- Must be able to speak and write in English to complete well written reports and to be understood by children, families, and employees (required)
- Capability of lifting and carrying children that weigh as much as 40 pounds when needed (required)
- An understanding of child development theory and best practices in Early Childhood Education (required)
- At least five years’ experience lead teaching in a preschool setting (preferred)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher (preferred)
