We’re looking for a highly relational leader with a passion for music and drawing people into worship together. This leader must be a self-starter, growth oriented and strong team player. They will be responsible to envision, coordinate, and lead the worship experience for South Hills, while helping to create an environment for people of all kinds to connect with God through song.
This leader must have a heart to reach out and impact our community and must be able to create experiences that balance growth for believers with comfortable inclusion of unbelievers. South Hills is, first and foremost, a “church for the unchurched,” which puts our organization in the unique position of finding ways to radically welcome and accommodate first time guests while also building a church community in which those who have been following Jesus for long periods of time can still actively grow.

OTHER TIME REQUIREMENTS:
- Rehearsals & Weekend Setup
- Team Night | 3-4 times a year (all volunteers/staff)
- Staff Meetings | Flexible Scheduling
RESPONSIBILITIES
WORSHIP LEADER (90%)
· WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate your worship team in preparation for weekend services
- Schedule songs in PCO
- Prepare and arrange loops/tracks for the weekend
- Connect with Campus Pastor in regard to the weekend flow/goals/topics
- Lead band rehearsals/prep
· MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule band via PCO
- Work on Creative Elements for Weekend Services
- Continue to look forward in music trends and select songs accordingly
- Track & be responsible to stay within allotted worship budget
- Spiritually lead and develop your team beyond the stage and weekend
· YEARLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate worship/band for special events when needed
- Developing volunteer musicians, singers, and worship leaders
- Begin to replace yourself and allow others to lead more
- Foster “next level” relationships with your team, value them throughout the year
SOUTH HILLS STAFF (10%)
- Meeting with Campus Pastor to align and execute ministry priorities, goals and strategies
- Staff Meetings, Activities & Strategic Planning
- All Church Events / Next Steps Activities
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Have 2+ year(s) of church ministry experience
- Must know how to develop and execute strategies to reach stated goals

To lead the Sunday morning experience in South Hills Kids (SHK) alongside a team of volunteers. To better creatively connect, interact, teach, and influence the kids and families of South Hills Church so kids can develop an authentic faith.

JOB EXPECATATIONS:
- Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of South Hills Kids.
- Recruit, train, lead, and retain a volunteer base for each area of the ministry.
- Budget: Maintain the ministry budget throughout the year.
- Childcare: Ensure childcare is in place for classes, trainings and events as needed.
- Communicate with leaders and parents on a regular basis (via social media, emails, texts, etc.)
- Child Dedication: Promote, plan and execute child dedications alongside of Campus Pastor.
- Baptisms: Work with Campus Pastor to develop a plan for preparing baptisms for kids.
- Events: Plan and execute events for South Hills Kids throughout the year.
- Curriculum: Ensure all aspects of curriculum are ready each Sunday (nursery, preschool, elem.)
- Facility: Ensure facility is safe and clean for ministry on a weekly basis.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:
ROLE RESPONSIBILITY:
- Discipling leaders/volunteers according to South Hills church values and establishing how to achieve a foundation for a positive children’s experience.
- Oversee and coordinate South Hills Kids services.
- Organize, train, recruit volunteers and leaders to produce positive and a safe kid friendly experience.
- Manage and encourage volunteers to serve on a consistent basis. by following a child protection process creating a safe environment for children.
- Plan/Coordinate/ and communicate for special seasonal and monthly activities for children.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Pray/Counsel/Guide volunteers and children as needed in spiritual matters.
- Work with Pastor/Events Coordinator.
- Create/Administer/Provide activities, curriculum, props/and materials as needed maintaining church budget.
- Create monthly reports for the pastor.
- Coordinate weekly children’s services and provide breakdown of said service to Campus Pastor.
- Schedule approved coverage volunteer to meet the needs of the children’s services in and outside of Sunday.
- Reach out to SouthHills kids during the week and create a connection with them by sending Thank you and or miss you cards.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT PROCESS
- Fill out volunteer application that has a release form for background check.
- Screen workers for a background check, complete, and once passed then schedule for volunteering.
- Train volunteers in proper children practices according to policies and procedures associated with South Hills Church.
- Investigate any complaints regarding children’s ministry workers. Discuss complaints/problems with workers when warranted.
- Document and report serious matters to pastor.
How do we know that as a Kids ministry we are on track and providing a great experience, here are some key goals:
1. Children are happy, enjoy coming on Sunday, and want to return.
2. Parents have a strong sense that their kids are safe, secure, and well cared for.
3. The ministry is well staffed with highly trained volunteers.
4. Children are learning the basics of the Bible and worship in a format they can grasp and enjoy free time when given.
5. Children are giving their hearts to Jesus with a clear understanding of salvation.
6. Parents feel like there is a good partnership in the spiritual training of their kids.
7. Volunteers feel cared for and appreciated, and confident because of their training.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
