POSITION OVERVIEW
The Connection Director is a campus-based pastoral leader responsible for helping people move from attending to belonging, and from belonging to growing and serving at the Costa Mesa campus. This role owns the after-Sunday journey—guiding new guests and attenders through the Growth Track, beginning at the weekend experience and moving through Discover, Rooted, Groups, and Serve Teams, so every person is clearly invited into their next step.
The Connection Director directly oversees Growth Group Leaders and Serve Team Leaders, strengthening the church’s two primary discipleship engines: spiritual formation (Growth Groups) and volunteer mobilization (Serve Teams). This is a highly visible, people-facing role with strong Sunday presence and ongoing leadership with staff and volunteer teams. While core systems already exist, this role focuses on implementing, reinforcing, and multiplying those pathways at Costa Mesa first (80% campus focus), while contributing to scalable connection practices across other campuses (20% central support).

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and lead the Growth Track (Discover, Rooted, Groups, Serve Teams), moving people from weekend attendance to meaningful engagement.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Worship Leader is responsible for delivering a high-quality, engaging, and well-coordinated Sunday worship experience that helps people connect with God and supports the message of the weekend.
This role focuses on musical excellence, team coordination, and service alignment, ensuring that every element of the worship experience is prepared, cohesive, and executed with clarity.
The Worship Leader works closely with the Campus Pastor to align music with the teaching and flow of the service, while partnering with central teams to maintain consistency in graphics, creative elements, and overall experience standards.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Worship Leadership & Sunday Execution (80%)
- Plan and lead engaging, excellent worship experiences for weekend services
- Select and schedule songs that align with the message and service flow
- Coordinate closely with the Campus Pastor to ensure music and sermon alignment
- Lead and rehearse the worship team to ensure strong, confident execution
- Schedule and manage team members using Planning Center (PCO)
- Prepare and arrange music, including loops and tracks as needed
- Ensure smooth, distraction-free services with clear transitions and flow
- Partner with central teams to execute graphics and creative elements accurately
- Maintain consistency with South Hills’ standards for worship and production
- Stay current with music trends and song selection
- Oversee and steward the worship budget responsibly
- Coordinate worship for special events as needed
Volunteer Team Leadership (20%)
- Build and maintain a reliable, prepared, and engaged volunteer worship team
- Recruit and onboard musicians and vocalists as needed
- Communicate clearly and consistently with team members throughout the week

Staff Team Member
- Meet regularly with the Campus Pastor to align on service plans and priorities

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of worship leading or church ministry experience
- Strong musical ability and confident stage leadership
- High level of organization and attention to detail

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Worship Director serves as a pastoral leader and team developer, responsible for building healthy, growing teams and cultivating a worship ministry that helps people move from attending to belonging, and from belonging to growing in their relationship with Jesus.
This role goes beyond leading weekend worship, focusing on shepherding people, developing leaders, and creating a culture of discipleship and community within the worship ministry. The Worship Director invests in volunteers through intentional care, relational leadership, and clear pathways for growth—helping individuals move from attending to serving, from serving to leading, and from leading to developing others.
In partnership with the Campus Pastor, this role contributes to the broader spiritual formation of the church by actively engaging in Rooted, Small Groups, the South Hills Growth Track, and mission opportunities. The Worship Director helps ensure that worship ministry is not just a Sunday experience, but a gateway into deeper community, spiritual growth, and life on mission.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Pastoral Leadership & Volunteer Development (60–70%)
- Provide consistent pastoral care, shepherding worship team members in their spiritual growth and personal development
- Build, lead, and develop teams of volunteers, creating clear pathways from attending → serving → leading → multiplying leaders
- Identify, coach, and release emerging leaders, developing a strong leadership pipeline
- Foster a healthy, relational culture marked by trust, accountability, and spiritual growth
- Recruit, onboard, and develop musicians, vocalists, and team leaders
- Actively lead or participate in Rooted and Small Groups, helping people take next steps in their faith
- Champion and model engagement in the South Hills Growth Track
- Lead or support mission trips and outreach opportunities, equipping volunteers to live on mission
- Build a ministry that extends beyond the stage, where team members are growing spiritually and leading in other areas of church life

The Kids Program Coordinator is a campus-based ministry leader responsible for helping children and families move from attending to belonging, and from belonging to growing in their relationship with Jesus at South Hills Church. This role owns the Sunday kids experience—guiding children and families from first-time attendance into consistent engagement through safe, fun, and spiritually formative environments.
The Kids Program Coordinator directly oversees Kids Team Leaders and volunteers, strengthening the church’s primary next-generation discipleship environment through South Hills Kids. This role leads the execution of weekend environments, curriculum, and family engagement so that every child is clearly invited into their next step of faith.
This is a highly visible, people-facing role with strong Sunday presence and ongoing leadership with volunteers and families. While core systems and curriculum already exist, this role focuses on implementing, reinforcing, and multiplying those systems within South Hills Church.

This role focuses on engaging students and parents, building meaningful relationships, and developing volunteer leaders who foster discipleship through consistent, relational ministry. The Student Program Coordinator leads the execution of weekly student environments and creates experiences that are both spiritually formative and welcoming to unchurched students.
This role requires a self-starter who is growth-oriented, a strong team player, and passionate about reaching and supporting students as they navigate life, school, work, and relationships.
