love the 818

"That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served-and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage." Matthew 20:28

Love The 818 exists to serve the people and community of Burbank. Our heart is to make sure that every person knows that Jesus loves them not simply based on our words, but through how we love and serve one another.

BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR

We are collecting school supplies in preparation for the Back to School Fair and will be stuffing and distributing them in August. There is also an opportunity to volunteer at the South Hills Burbank booth during the event.

The Back to School Fair is a resource fair for both parents and school-age kids. Here, children ages K-12 will receive a backpack filled with school supplies and they will get the opportunity to find out about existing child focused programs, services and support. Local non-profits, educational groups, civic organizations and municipal departments set up kiosks offering information, direct services, referrals as well as fun activities. Local beauty professionals will be offering free haircuts and complimentary dental and vision screenings will be available.
