Love The 818 exists to serve the people and community of Burbank. Our heart is to make sure that every person knows that Jesus loves them not simply based on our words, but through how we love and serve one another.

LA FAMILY HOUSING

For the month of March, South Hills Love the 818 is looking for your help in fulfilling LA Family Housing's most important wishlists. 

LA Family Housing provides housing and critical, life-saving services that end homelessness, for good.

Wishlist items are rain and cold weather gear-long sleeve shirts, gloves/beanies, pants/jeans, umbrellas, rain gear (ponchos, rain jackets, etc), pop-top canned soups
Hygiene items like Shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, body wash, female hygiene, and any cleaning supplies (like all purpose sprays, sponges, dish soaps, brooms, etc). 

Please bring your donations to the marked bin all month of March!

GLOW EGG HUNT

We are looking for volunteers to set up, run and clean up for our community GLOW event!

The GLOW event will be a glow in the dark egg hunt! Families will travel together through the church, in and out of glowing spaces to find hidden eggs that they will turn in for a prize at the end!

ASCENSIA

We will prepare a dinner and feed families on site at Ascencia. 

Ascencia’s mission is to lift people out of homelessness, one person, one family at a time. They provide a community where people in need can find services, resources, and safe, affordable housing to rebuild their lives. They serve as a 45-bed emergency shelter and showers to accommodate shelter residents and others on the waiting list.

We need volunteers to help at the annual Care Walk for Family Service Agency of Burbank to promote mental health awareness.

Family Service Agency of Burbank treats the mental and emotional well-being of children, adults, and families suffering silently through counseling, preventing, educating, and advocating since 1953.
